This is a series by Kathryn Lasky. An unlikely band of heroes have come from different kingdoms to train with a community of owls at the Great Ga’Hoole Tree. There are 15 books in this series — great for those of you who like to get into a series. This will be made into a movie that is due to be released in 2010.
Most of the characters in this series are owls — it is part animal fiction and part fantasy. The main character is Soren, a barn owl, who is pushed from the nest by his evil brother.
